On Saturday, I watched Reportory Philippines' execution of M. Butterfly with Miguel Faustman as the maddened Gallimard. Surprisingly, my usually short attention span sustained until the end of the play. Not much to rant or rave though, except that Miguel had an American accent. As expected, there was nudity, both of male and female, but that wasn't why I didn't fall asleep.
Earlier, while waiting for the show, I hooked up with a friend of a friend. She's Mylinda of The Morning Brew: 6-9 a.m. weekdays on 103.5 K-Lite. Naturally, she picked a coffee shop. I liked her choice, Segafredo, beside Italliani's at Greenbelt 3, where the strip of drinking bars is. It was clean and well-lighted, which makes it a good sobering place, although I doubt if anybody appreciates it for that. Do check out the hot chocolate - I had two before the show.
After the show, I suggested a night cap and Pia, Jing and her friend Debbie ended up in another coffee shop - McCafe. Cute novelty: they serve coffee with brown arches on the foam.
(Do you know that you can only find one M in this entire sentence?)
